Choose and Buy Rightly, Before You Apply Perfumes This Summer

Like many other things, the pattern of the way we use perfume changes too according to the seasons. Most basically, you can’t choose a perfume judging its label and packaging only. There are many other factors mid-way, also.

Definitely, in winters you are never required to fight the foul smell, coming out of your body, continuously, which is a common phenomena in summers.

Thus the perfumes of summer differs from those made for winters. The list of tips and tricks to choose, buy, before you apply the right perfume , this summer 2009, can be a long one. Lets follow the following lines :

Only Light Fights : Unlike winter which demands the use of fragrances with heavy smell, in summers lighter versions should be preferred. The intense cold waves in the winter tend to kill the smell, while it can’t happen so in summer. Thus choosing a stronger perfume, thinking that you sweat more in summers, can be a fashion faux pas. Sea aroma suits everyone.

But Heavy Is Savvy : However, for the open sky summer night parties, wedding or casuals, where you can’t say no to dancing, you may start sweating a lot. That results in bringing too intense and pungent smell. It may be offensive to your friends. Thus, there you need to wear stronger perfumes. Flower aromas do nicely in social gatherings.

Go Naked : Well…Don’t take its literal meaning. What I mean that while going to shop, this summer, a suitable perfume for you, avoid wearing any type of perfume in advance. The smell already on your fashion apparel will make it tough for you to evaluate the real smell of your future fragrance. Also, avoid the use of any flavored body care product.

Choose, Don’t Follow : Someday your best friend may come out prescribing a particular brand of perfume for you and may force you to buy such one too. It is better not to be impulsive that moment. A fragrance varies the way it smells on two different individuals. Choose only those stuffs which suit your body type.

Know Your Right Pick : So how to choose the right stuff? You simply are needed to follow ‘wait and watch’ game rule. Select any perfume from the shelves, rub some drops on the skin, wait for few minutes, eight to ten minutes will do, and see how it reacts and smells. If found pleasing and satisfying, no need to wait now!

Not Too Old And Hot : Don’t buy a perfume packed two-three years ago. This duration is more than enough to kill the maximum of its quality. Also, buy your summer scents from those shops which store them too carefully. Fragrances exposed to heat and direct sunlight lose their utility.

Caron Perfumes – Trend Setting Scents

Paris is the city of romance as they say. For some, the city also is a breeding ground for very beautiful and fashionable things. In Europe, Paris is also termed the fashion capital of the region. With the emergence of Caron Perfumes and Fragrance, the romanticism and lovely appeal of the city has further been bolstered.

The century-old history of the house of fragrances speaks for itself. It is as aromatic and as elegantly scented as its major lines of perfumes. Caron Perfumes and Fragrances is a product of love and inspiration. In 1904, perfume designer Ernest Daltroff formulated a scent that symbolized his glaring, yet undeclared love for the woman of his dreams, named Felicie Wanpouille.

Later on, the two jived and started creating scents that would eventually move Paris off its feet. Together, the couple created some of the company’s greatest and most popular ever perfumes including ‘N’Aimez, Tabac Blond, Pour un Homme and Fleurs de Rocaille.

As a company, Caron Perfume and Fragrances moved on amid different and challenging pressures. In the 1930s, the company was able to expand its line of products from fragrances into several cosmetics, specifically powder. During that time, the manufacturing technique developed by the company in making its very fine cosmetic powder was recognized as innovative and trend setting.

In the 1940s, Mr. Daltroff migrated to the US and his partner Felicie was left to manage the company on her own until her death in 1967. In the later part of the 1990s, the company was acquired by tycoon Patrick Alees. It was noted that Mr Alees and Mr Datroff have something in common, and it was very interesting: they both had definite and exquisite passion for roses.

The analogy did not end there. There was a slight contrast though. While Mr Daltroff was fond of using his loved roses for the formulation and design of his fragrances, Mr Alees simply collected the roses and included them within his primrose garden.

Caron was the sole perfume house that had a revered and much publicized perfumer, whom the company called its ‘nose’. Richard Fraysse was the Haute Parfumerie of the company, a right that was passed from the founder, Mr. Daltroff. For more than 30 years of his tenure at the company, the ‘nose’ was able to formulate and design several of the most popular and well noted perfumes to come from the under the Caron brand.

To date, Caron is actively distributing its many lines of perfumes classified under its fountains, women’s and men’s perfume lines. There are also several limited edition perfumes that are offered occasionally or in very limited volume. Caron Perfumes and Fragrances dwarf all other perfumes coming from different fashion houses.

The company asserts that it is the royalty when it comes to fragrances. With its very unique and high profile lines of perfumes, no one could ever contest that assertion. Caron perfumes are simply among the best the market could ever produce.

Lanvin – 80 Years of Perfume Making

For more than 80 years now, Lanvin perfumes have been making great waves in the vast sea of the designer perfumes sector. Surely, the brand is one of the oldest we have in the global consumer market these days. The older generation probably will assert that they know more about the brand, but the current consumers of the contemporary age would surely say they also appreciate and love the fragrances.

Lanvin perfumes come as the fragrance line of top Paris-based fashion house Lanvin. Fashion designer Jeanne Lanvin started her own fashion house in the early 1920s. Like most popular and top couturieres of her time, Ms. Lanvin relied on her own fashion designs and signature fashion products to make her business truly booming. As a fashion house, history has it that the company’s status was boosted significantly by the establishment and the launch in 1924 of its fragrance business unit called Lanvin Parfums SA.

One of Lanvin’s first signature fragrances was My Sin, which was introduced to the market in 1924. The perfume made an impact and was able to niche up a premium and high-end market for the Lanvin brand. At the time, even people who did not know Lanvin and were not buying Lanvin clothes were introduced to the brand through the phenomenal popularity of ‘My Sin’.

To hold on to the popularity and fame brought about by ‘My Sin’ and to further bolster the performance of Lanvin Parfums, the company introduced Arpege in 1927. The fragrance eventually made its etch as the company’s signature scent. What is more inspiring about Arpege is that the fragrance tells a story about a mother’s pride and devoted love to a daughter.

To give a human angle to the popularity and launch of Arpege, it has been revealed that Jeanne Lanvin was able to formulate and come up with the designer perfume through taking inspiration from the sound created by her daughter who was constantly practicing piano scales at home.

From the piano to a mother’s pride of her daughter, Arpege was able to come closer to the hearts of numerous fragrance consumers. As years went by, seasons changed and world disorders came about. Arpege was shadowed by so many events and things that time helped introduce.

Proof that the scent would not fade, Arpege was re-launched by the company in the 1990s. Arpege was among the rare old fragrances that have been revived to be enjoyed by the current generation. The result was overwhelming as the Lanvin perfume line proved once again that it is reliable and that it would always be able to please the olfactory senses of people.

With the usual changes of ownership through the decades, Lanvin was bought out in 1994 by L’Oreal and later on by Harmonie SA. Though the company and its parfums unit encountered major revamps and rebranding, Lanvin perfumes still holds the title as the company’s pride and source of strength. Through time, the fragrance brand has proven that it is invincible and that people who love fragrances will always love it.
